Bidder Terms & Conditions
1. Bidder registration. By registering to bid you confirm you are 18 years or older and legally able to enter into a binding contract of sale in the relevant jurisdiction. Registration must be completed prior to the close of each auction you wish to bid on.
2. Deposit holds. A refundable deposit hold of $25,000 is authorized on your card when you register. Holds are pre-authorizations, not charges — funds are only captured if you are the winning bidder.
3. Winning bids. All bids placed are legally binding once submitted. If you are the winning bidder, your deposit hold is applied toward the purchase price and you will be required to exchange contracts within the timeframe specified in the auction terms.
4. Release of funds. If you do not win, deposit holds are automatically released by your card issuer within 5 business days of the auction closing. Ashland Auctions does not retain any funds from unsuccessful bids.
5. Cancellation. You may withdraw your registration up until the auction begins by contacting our support team. Withdrawing after an auction has started may forfeit your right to bid but will not result in any charge.
